All scouts should have a Class A & Class B uniform and access to the adventures in the handbook. Parents should be connected to their scout in Scoutbook.
A physical copy of the handbook can be purchased through the scoutshop or a digital copy can be found online or in the Scoutbook app!.
Check out the Parent Hub page for links to the handbook and the Connect page for Scoutbook.
Cub scouts will advance with their age group however, earning ranks can only be done by completing the advancement trail. Each rank has expectations to complete 6 required adventures and 2 elective adventures.
Wait! Before you go uniform shopping, check in at a Den or Pack meeting. We have a swap box of items that may support your scouts uniform needs!
What is the difference between Class A and Class B?
Class A (Field Uniform) is the more formal uniform.
Class B (Activity Uniform) is a more casual option.
More detail can be found on the uniforms page.
We will specify which uniform is requested for each meeting or event.
Scouting is active. Den and Pack activities may involve indoor and outdoor movement. Scouts should wear appropriate footwear and clothing suitable for the environment and activity level.
Dens, and den curriculum, are built around age groups. This ensures your scout is engaging with other scouts of an appropriate age level. We focus on your scouts school grade as the factor for placement.
Kindgarten - Lions
1st Grade - Tigers
2nd Grade - Wolves
3rd Grade - Bears
4th Grade - Webelos
5th Grade - AOLs
Schedules may change due throughout the year to accommodate holidays, special activities, etc. We encourage parents to keep an eye on the Pack Calendar to make sure there no surprises.
We encourage as much participation as possible. Every Den and Pack meeting brings a new opportunity for your scout to advance through their adventure trail. That said, we know the scouting year intersects with other important childhood activities. There is no penalty for non-attendance.
In most cases, our meetings will follow the pattern below:
Den Meetings - First and Third Tuesday of the month
Pack Meetings - Second Tuesday of the month
Pack Parent Meeting - Fourth Tuesday of the month
Scouting is all year long but it is most active during the school year.
The scouting year is considered June 1 - May 31st. This is the marker for when your scout would be entered into or advance out of their rank.
Our regular meeting cadence will reduce to 1 - 2 times a month while district 12 is out. We focus on optional pack-wide activities during this time.
Checkout our calendar page to see our annual calendar.
Of course! We happily accept scouts all year long.
Our Cubmaster and Den Leader(s) for your child's den will work with you to catch your child up on adventures.
Check out our Cost of Scouting page for detailed information.
