Scouting America provides the following on the Cost of Scouting

Families often reduce expenses through fundraising, leveraging online resources and borrowing items from the uniform swap bin.
Dues (National, Council & Pack) - $315 (annually)
Uniform - $105 - $135
These estimate totals include national membership, pack dues, and typical optional activities. Uniform costs are primarily a first-year expense and can often be built over time.
Cub Scouting operates at multiple levels the national level, the council level and the local pack level, which is why families see separate fees.
National dues are paid directly to Scouting America and provide your scout’s official membership in the national program.
Council dues are paid directly to the Pathway to the Rockies council and provide access to scouting tools like the council programs, camping locations and the local scout shop.
Pack dues stay entirely with Pack 110 and fund the local activities, awards, and experiences your scout participates in throughout the year.
Pack 110 does not recieve any portion of the national or council dues.
National and Council Membership Dues
National and Council dues are required for your scout to be an official member of the program. These funds support curriculum development, program infrastructure, and wide spread resources.
As of March 1, 2024, national dues are $85 per year and are subject to change.
As of August 1, 2024 council dues are $65 per year and are subject to change
Pack 110 Dues
Pack dues are paid to Pack 110 and allow us to deliver a full year of local programming. We are a volunteer-run pack, and these funds directly support the experiences your scout participates in.
As of December 1, 2025:
$165 per year for the first child
$115 per year for each additional child
Some optional activities may have small participation fees. When applicable, most one-time costs fall in the $15 to $30 range.
Any additional costs are always communicated in advance so families can plan.
Pack 110 uses two uniform types during the year.
Class A (formal uniform) is worn at pack meetings and ceremonies.
Class B (activity uniform) is the pack or den T-shirt worn at casual and outdoor events. (Pack activity shirts are included in pack dues)
Well-fitting, presentable pants or shorts are acceptable in place of official uniform bottoms for most pack activities.
Before purchasing new items, take a look at our Pack swap bin. Items in the bin are available at no cost when available.
A Scout is ... THRIFTY. Work to pay your own way. Try not to be wasteful. Use time, food, supplies, and natural resources wisely
The pack offers at least one fundraising opportunity each year to help offset program costs and keep dues as low as possible. Participation is optional but encouraged.
Typical opportunities include wreath sales, popcorn, camp cards, and occasional community events.
